We are pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Murray to the position of Business Manager at Holy Family Parish.  Mike’s experience, both as a small business owner, and in a large corporation (DuBois Chemical), provide a unique set of qualifications to help manage this parish.  Mike is a born and bred west-sider who grew up at St. Al’s on the Ohio and spent many a weekend in the Holy Family gym playing basketball. Mike is a graduate of Elder High School and Wilmington College.  He got his MBA at Xavier University.  Mike currently lives in St. Simon’s parish with his wife, Michelle, but he has already worshiped with us on Sunday morning during the hiring process. Mike has two daughters and one grandson.  When he has some free time, Mike likes to play golf and enjoys watching OSU football! Mike is so excited to start at Holy Family that before his official start date, he already visited Ed Bayliss, Business Manager at Our Lady of Lourdes, to get a few tips to hit the ground running!

Please join the staff at Holy Family in welcoming Mike to our parish!

Giving Tuesday Organ Donations Raise Over $6000 for Organ

Julie Bishop 0 409 Article rating: No rating

Thanks to all those who donated to our #iGiveCatholic fundraiser on #GivingTuesday,  We received a little over $6000 for our organ repair and restoration project by the end of Tuesday.  With the funds raised so far, we will be have thorough tuning and basic maintenance done.  Historic pipe organs are a precious item so plans for fixing our 8' Great Trumpet will be established once the pipe organ company determines the best course of action and the timing of the project.  These two items, along with some electrical work, were the first on our "must-do" list so we are thrilled we are able to get this work done immediately.  Stay "tuned" for information about the work and about concerts to show off our pipe organ once the work is complete.

If you would still like to donate, please donate on our online giving system at https://holyfamilycincinnati.weshareonline.org/.   Look for the Organ Fund.

Suspension of Mass Extended to May 29th

The Catholic Bishops of Ohio has extended the temporary suspension of all publicly celebrated Masses/liturgies until May 29th, with the hope of publicly celebrating together the Solemnity of Pentecost on the weekend of May 30/31. Each of the bishops of Ohio, once again, dispenses the Catholic faithful who reside in their respective dioceses from the obligation of attending Sunday Mass during this time. The Catholic Bishops of Ohio ask for the cooperation and adherence of all the faithful to the Ohio governor’s directives during this period.  To read the full letter, click on the Read More button.

Public Masses to begin at end of Month with new safety precautions

We are excited to announce that we will begin public Masses at Holy Family at the end of the month with new safety precautions and new health guidelines in place.

At this time, Archbishop Schnurr has dispensed the Faithful of the obligation to attend Sunday Mass.  Those who are able to attend Mass, are encouraged to attend any weekend or weekday Mass.  Those who may be at risk or care for someone in an at risk category, and choose not to attend public Masses, can still live stream Mass from the Archdiocese of Cincinnati website.

In addition to our normal schedule, we have added a bilingual Mass on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. to accomodate the people who may attend the popular 11:00 a.m.. Mass.  You can now select from two bilingual Masses each week.

San Antonio Church will continue to hold their Sunday morning 9:00 a.m. Mass.  Seating will be very limited to ensure everyone maintains adequate social distancing.
