Holy Family School has been educating children in East Price Hill since 1884.  The school has an increasingly diverse student population and serves students preschool through eighth grade.

Mission Statement

Holy Family School, as part of Holy Family Parish, is a Catholic school committed to Gospel values incorporated throughout its strong academic program.  The staff integrates the best instructional practices to foster the gifts of all students, empowering them to meet the challenges of the future.

Philosophy

Holy Family School believes it shares with parents and guardians the responsibility of contributing to the spiritual, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child. The school strives to establish an environment conducive to teaching Christian values and concentrates on the development of the whole person.

The staff believes that each child is unique and precious in the sight of God.  Their teaching challenges them to provide quality education and to grow in excellence in order to meet the needs of each individual.

For children to learn, it is believed that an atmosphere of discipline and respect must prevail.  The staff endeavors to maintain a consistent, kind, yet firm system of discipline through which they strive to develop the child’s sense of responsibility for his/her conduct.  The success of this educational philosophy depends upon the cooperative efforts of teachers, parents and guardians, and students.

Beliefs

In order to achieve the mission statement, Holy Family School believes:

  1. in educating students spiritually and academically within our Catholic faith while providing them with the opportunity to know, love, and serve God and the community.
  2. faith formation should be ongoing and strengthened by the family, school, friends, church, parish, and community.
  3. education is foremost the responsibility of the parents as they are the child’s first educator.  The school team strives to support the parents and to meet the needs of the students.
  4. student learning and assessment should be systematic and ongoing; matching the students’ abilities while challenging their potential.
  5. instruction should follow best practices and be influenced by continuous professional development to meet the diverse needs, abilities, and learning styles of each student.
