Welcome Fr. Louis Okot

Holy Family would like to welcome Fr. Louis Okot, a South Sudan Comboni Missionary, who was ordained to the priesthood on May 25, 1997.
After returning from Peru, his first mission land, he served 13 years in his country, South Sudan. And according to the tradition of his congregation, it was time for him to be assigned by the general administration to another mission or to remain to serve in his country. Still, then they discerned and decided that the USA would be his new mission. "And so here I am to continue willingly and passionately with my missionary life," Fr. Louis states.

He joined the Comboni formation house right after finishing his senior year of secondary school to start his formation journey. The life witness of Fr. Sina sparked in him the flame to become a Comboni missionary. His lifestyle was a summary of the life of St. Daniel Comboni, the founder of the Comboni Missionaries: to be at the side of the poor and marginalized and to evangelize the most abundant as Jesus did. As the poor possessed the heart of St. Comboni, so did they possess his heart too. "I left everything to follow his path."Fr. Louis Okot Sates.

"I am here, as I am. I bring my faith and my missionary experience", Fr. Louis Okot states.
